Well-executed large mural on a graffiti landmark building in Göttingen. I’m not sure what the Borg-esque eye piece means but a very cool image nevertheless. I like the way in which the wall structure gives the piece depth. © 2017 Fred S. Wouters

Animal drinking fountain
With the Christmas market (Weihnachtsmarkt) in the background, this is a detail of an ornamental three-level drinking fountain for animals in the main shopping street of Göttingen. Something you walk past without really noticing. The ‘ground level’ is a drinking bowl for dogs (decorated with dogs), the top is a bird bath (yes, with birds). Following the same logic, the middle level is meant for horses. This is a detail with the horse heads. The actual bowl is outside the frame. I like the anachronism and the stern look of the animals. Yesterday was the right moment for the picture. © Fred S. Wouters, 2016.
Shark attack
An inflatable shark (€13.65) is eying the unsuspecting tourists. Good thing it’s on a leash and behind a gate. This picture was taken in the same beach resort village on the Spanish tourist island Mallorca. © 2016 Fred Wouters
Seagull
Seagulls in Liverpool are big! This fellow was sitting atop a stone wall and let me chase him around a bit before deciding he’d had enough. This photograph was taken with the Meyer Optik Primagon 35 mm lens, an oldie. For a shot like this, you’d normally select a tele lens. Good thing the animal was not all that impressed by me creeping up really close. © 2016 Fred S. Wouters
